About Us

The Bluebell is one of the oldest and well-known eating-places in North Yorkshire. We have been delighting Yorkshires residents and visitors alike with good food for over 100 years. Amongst others we pride ourselves on the fact that all our meals are made on the premises from the freshest and most natural ingredients.

Parts of the building dates back almost 400 years and offers an intimate and period ambience. Its interior reflects the tradition and history of this beautiful 16th century rural pub and restaurant.

A wealth of exposed timbers and a real open log fire puts you in the right frame of mind, even before you sample any of the selection of real ales including Black Sheep and fine wines.

The Blue bell is a great place for people of all ages as well as a great business venue. There is a games room, where you can play pool or darts. Outside we have a beer garden where you can relax and take in some fine country views.

Our large dining room enables us to cater for anyone wishing to hold a private function or meeting. It can comfortably accommodate 10-70 diners and it is easily adaptable for non-dining purposes such as sales and training meetings etc.
